Cremation
Shuda Funeral Service offers the only Crematory in Portage County
We are proud to offer this option for families, so that their loved one never needs to leave the community to complete services.
Cremation services offer many options including public
visitation, open casket, and a memorial service.
Most people who prefer cremation want permanent placement of their remains because it
serves as a focal point for family members to memorialize and celebrate their life.
Cremation is a personal choice and there are many options. Pre-planning is a good time
to look at these options and resolve issues among family members regarding cremation.
The Shuda Family and staff has served many families who have chosen this alternative and
are available to discuss cremation with you and your family.
Cremation and the Funeral
The choice of cremation in no way eliminates a funeral. A traditional or contemporary type
service is often designed to take place before the cremation process. A funeral service followed
by cremation need be no different than a funeral service followed by ground burial. The funeral
service can be elaborate or simple; it can be traditional or non-traditional. Today, arrangements
are as individual as the persons for whom they are made. A ceremony may be personalized to reflect
the life of the deceased and, thus, have special meaning for those present.
