Stephen J. Flynn
Stephen J. Flynn age 57 of Stevens Point passed away January 30, 2010 at St. Michaels Hospital.
Funeral services for Stephen will be at 11:00 AM on Friday February 5, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev Al Burkhardt will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9:30 AM Friday until the time of services at the church. Memorials in lieu of flowers are appreciated for his two daughters. Shuda Funeral Service is assisting the family.
Stephen was born December 5, 1952 in Fulda, MN the son of Gene and Ceil (Schwab)Flynn. As a child he moved with his family to Stevens Point and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1970 .
After graduation he worked for American Motors in Kenosha. He then attended Mid-State in Wausau for mechanical design. He returned to the area and began working at Consolidated Paper and retired from Newpage in 2008 .
Stephen married Cynthia Pitcher on December 24, 1992. He enjoyed fishing, hunting with family and friends and camping with his family. Stephen cherished his two daughters.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia, and their two daughters:Darla and Lilah. His mother Ceil Flynn, Thorp. His brother Greg (Barb) Flynn, Stevens Point. Two sisters: Margaret (Dave) Bronk, Stevens Point and Maureen (Dan) Welgos, Thorp. He was preceded in death by his father.
