Timothy John Marko, age 68, of Stevens Point passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019.

Tim was born in Stevens Point on February 23, 1951, the son of John and Lois (Kaiser) Marko. He attended local schools in Stevens Point and graduated from PJ Jacobs High School, class of 1969. He was an all-conference football player, and played varsity basketball and baseball in high school. During the summers Tim helped his grandfather on the farm. After high school, Tim worked for his father’s business, Marko’s Body Shop, as an auto body repairman for many years until the shop closed.

Tim had many hobbies and loved sports. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and biking. He also played in local softball and pool leagues.

Tim always cared for others, especially his family. After his mother’s illness he spent 9 years caring for her until her death.

Tim is survived by his sister: Karen (Bernie) Lakus, niece: Jenna (Ben) Moscherosch, nephew: John (Celline) Lakus, 2 great nieces: Sophia and Juliann Moscherosch, and great nephew: William Lakus.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dear brother, God bless you. Your kindness, care and compassion for others is the legacy you leave behind. You will be in our hearts always.
We love you Tim.
Rest In Peace.

I am so sad to learn about the loss of Tim. He was a special friend of my husband Don. They spent some wonderful times together hiking in the porcupine mountains. My condolences. Now Don and Tim are together. Alvie Lutz.

Timmy was a very special cousin to me. I learned much about being still and quiet and spending time on what you enjoy. He was a quiet soul. A quiet soul that will be missed. Love you, Timmy.

Uncle Timmy, the best uncle I could have ever asked for. He was kind, caring, funny, quiet, encouragong, and always concerned about us and our well being. I remember biking with him up in Eagle River, him teaching my brother and me how to play pool when we were little, and visiting with him when I was driving through Steven's Point during grad school. I am so glad my girls were able to meet him because they adore him! They loved visiting with great Uncle Timmy at Culvers or Pizza Hut! My sweet uncle Timmy you are and will always be greatly missed!

Love you forever,

Larry Studinski

What a friend. Humble, compassionate, unassuming, funny. Enjoyed shooting pool with Tim each visit back to Point. Spent many hours working out together back in high school. What a talented wide receiver in football and guard in basketball....great P.J. Jacobs high school athlete late '60"s. RIP Tim. Love you man !
