On August 14, 2020, Rudolph "Rudy" Piotrowski succumbed to a short illness, his loving wife Patty of 40 years by his side.
Rudy was born August 1, 1956, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He served as a young man in the US Air Force from 1974 to 1979 in North Dakota.
Rudy enjoyed watching comedy and action movies with his wife and children. He very much liked the outdoors, especially hunting and camping with family in the Northwoods. He also loved sitting outside with family and friends, talking, laughing, eating, and sharing. In fact, on his last birthday, he did just that at his daughter's house, the grandkids riding bikes and beaming: "Grampy, look at me!"
Rudy is survived by sons Jeremy and Jason, and by daughter Nicole and son-in-law Rob Grimm, who have four wonderful granddaughters, who were the light of Rudy's life.
He is also survived by his brothers Ken Piotrowski and Brian (Linda) Piotrowski, and his sisters Patti Soik, Laurie Grubba, Sandie (Neil) Messerschmidt, and Roslyn Lemke, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Dolores Piotrowski of Stevens Point.
A service and burial with military honors will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, August 19, 11 a.m., at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
