Lorraine M. Żurawski, age 91 of Whiting, passed away on Friday June 18, 2021 at St. Michaels Hospital. She was under the care of Compassus Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday June 25, 2021 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. Rev. Edward Shuttleworth will officiate. Friends and relatives will gather to share memories on Thursday from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Plover - Shuda Funeral Home: 2400 Plover Road in Plover. Visitation will also be held Friday morning from 10:00 - 10:45 at the church prior to Mass. Burial will be in the St. Bronislava Cemetery.
Lorraine was born September 17, 1929 in Stevens Point, the daughter of Bernard and Dorothy (Kaminski) Zurawski. She graduated from PJ Jacobs High School in 1947, and began working at McClellans 5 &10 Store. She also worked at Whiting Plover Paper Mill before beginning her career at Valley Printing. Lorraine worked as an order editor and corporate secretary at the publishing company that eventually was renamed Spectra Print. She retired after 48 1/2 years in April of 2000. She was a previous member of St Michaels Church where she volunteered in the gift shop, and delivered Meals on Wheels for a number of years. Lorraine enjoyed gardening, reading, attending and watching Brewer and Packer games, shopping, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her brother: Richard A. Zurawski, Appleton; her niece: Debra (Chris) Waller, Roswell, GA; her nephew: Rick (Jill) Zurawski, Minocqua. Great nieces: Kalyn and Abigail Zurawski and Natalie Waller. Her great nephew Phillip Waller. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother James.
Lorraine's family wants to thank Dr. Ravi, Kay in the palliative care unit, all the staff in intensive care, and the staff at compasses, you were all great!
