I met Janis many years ago at UWSP, and she made a positive difference in my life in a number of ways. When I was experiencing a challenging time in my life, she showed up, listened well, and shared some of her own experiences to let me know I was not alone. Even after all these years, her Facebook posts lifted me up on numerous occasions. I will miss her deeply. I send my condolences and I wishes of peace to her family.

I met Janis through an on-line program called Homemade Method. Throughout this time she has been a great source of strength, encouragement and inspiration. She regularly shared beautiful life-changing comments and posts. I will continue to pray for her and her family and thank God for her beautiful life. I am grateful to have "met" here even for this short, virtual, connection. Her spirit lives on.

My deepest condolences to Janis' family and personal friends. Janis and I never met but were members of a few related Facebook cooking groups the last three years. It was always a pleasure to see and hear about Janis' many recipes and her food photos were magazine worthy! She was always helpful to all the members in their quest for information about unusual or non-mainstream ingredients. Hearing this news was quite a shock as she was very private. She was very sweet and we will miss her. May God rest her soul.

I met Janis through a FB wellness/cooking group must been 3 years ago. She became an important part of my life through this group. Her love for weird foods was encouraging for me to try new things. We had a kindred spirit together, we both loved God. I'm gonna miss her a lot. Prayers for her family, you all will be in my heart and prayers.
